Safety Director - Signalling Services - Train - Alstom Transport - Paris, Lyon

ALSTOM Transport (Turnover= 5,6 Mds€), one of the worldwide railway leaders, develop rolling stock (trams, metro, high speed trains), key train components and signalling solutions. We are also specialized in infrastructure and turnkey projects. Our activity « Transport Life Services » (TLS) pursues its international growth (100 sites in 35 countries) and offers to our customers a wide portfolio of services for any kind of rolling stock and for our signalling systems (spares parts, maintenance, modernization).
Within “Transport Life Services” and reporting to Services Information Solutions Platform Vice-President, you will act as Safety Director for this platform dedicated to the international development of Services business on urban and high speed signalling solutions.
You will :
Define Safety policies and standards for the platform, structure the ways of working on sites to take into account the Safety requirements and support/challenge the local teams in the different countries during the implementation phase.
Ensure that the execution of Services contracts fully respect the Safety requirements defined for the customers by signalling engineering teams in « TIS » (Transport Information Solutions)
Run the local Safety managers network and provide support to TLS operational teams (Engineering, Projects) with the objective to lead our projects in line with Quality/Costs/Delivery on Time objectives.
Challenge and formalize the Safety requirements on the new Signalling solutions developped by TIS within Services activities and ensure their effective deployment in maintenance plans with TIS collaboration
Work closely with TLS Safety Director on rolling stock to define common ways of working within TLS about Safety and build the REX of the projects, and deal with the certifications bodies
Desired Skills and Experience
Graduate with a MSc or BSc degree in Electronics, you demonstrate a 8 to 10 year experience minimum in engineering, projects- or quality on signalling systems and have a significant experience in safety assurance.
You show great communication and teaching skills, rigor, leadership and team spirit.
Fluency in English is mandatory. As this is an international role, travels to be expected at 30-40%
