Job Description:

A global research and advisory firm, Forrester serves professionals in 13 key roles across three distinct client segments. Our clients face progressively complex business and technology decisions every day. To help them understand, strategize, and act upon opportunities brought by change, Forrester provides proprietary research, consumer and business data, custom consulting, events and online communities, and peer-to-peer executive programs. We guide leaders in the business technology, marketing and strategy, and technology industry through independent fact-based insight, ensuring their business success today and tomorrow.

Reporting to the senior vice president of European sales, the Sales Director will be responsible for the Southern European new business and account management functions, comprising two growing teams and 20 sales professionals. Both teams are responsible for team members’ activity, development, planning, and meeting of bookings goals on a monthly and quarterly basis. The Sales Director ultimately drives sales by focusing the teams on $1 billion-plus consumer-facing accounts and by developing the strategic selling skills of the team. This individual drives the sales activity for Forrester's products into target client companies by partnering with technology vendors and business technology and marketing professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

·Achieve overall team sales goals.
·Coach and motivate managers and, when necessary, individual team members.
·Establish a clear and consultative management presence in the Paris office.
·Develop the Southern European sales workforce for current and future opportunities.
·Oversee the hiring and developing of new team members for future growth.
·Analyze sales forecasts and pipelines.
·Collaborate with other Forrester departments and sales teams to attain business.
·Maintain the proper product mix ratio in the region.
·Use Forrester systems (Siebel/Salesforce) and sales methodologies (IMPAX and Basho).
·Act as a role model and leader within the sales organization. Promote a "can do" culture and positive environment, advise reps on accounts, answer questions, and provide assistance when necessary.
·Present to clients and prospective clients on Forrester’s products and services. Assist with presentations when necessary.
·Manage the function as a business, with appropriate expense and budget controls.

·Experience in dealing with French employment relations and HR partnership.
·Demonstrated success in designing and implementing tactical sales initiatives through data and empirical analysis.

·Coaching and mentoring skills.
·The ability to absorb and grasp new concepts quickly (such as rapid advancements in the business technology industry).
·Strong prospecting needs analysis, negotiating, and closing skills.
·Proficiency in both the French and English language.
