Director - Growth - Twitter - Paris


Job description
Twitter is seeking a Director of Growth who will be responsible for growing and engaging Twitter’s user base in France. This position is based in Paris and will be part of the broader Twitter Growth Markets team.

Responsibilities
Help identify the highest-impact programs and interventions that will drive ambitious user growth targets in this market.
Collaborate closely with Business Development, Media, Sales, Communications and User Research teams on defining a cohesive growth strategy plan.

Lead a cross-functional team of product, business, and marketing managers to deliver on the growth programs in market and work with the global growth team to translate the strategy into new product developments, balancing trade-offs between business goals, user experience, development investment, capital expenditure needs, etc.
Represent the France Growth team at weekly global Growth Leadership meetings.
Ensure that the cross-functional Growth team for France is scaling up as needed for continued success. Directly manage cross-functional team, including Data Science, Consumer Marketing, Growth Operations.
Work closely with Business Development to identify and drive deals that lead to growth.
Surface actionable market insights. Identify and monitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats relevant for Twitter’s adoption in France.
Explore, identify, and help evaluate strategic acquisition opportunities.

Requirements
10-15 years of experience in relevant leadership roles, including significant experience in-market.
Deep understanding of the French market, including cultural landscape, consumer web and mobile landscape, current usage of Twitter in-market, and gaps in product/market fit.
Ability to manage and collaborate with a team of a broad range of functional leads involved in France growth efforts
Experience in product management within a large or entrepreneurial company as well as brand / category management and marketing at a leading global brand / consumer goods company are ideal past experiences.
Prior experience working in a high-growth or startup technology company preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and nurture trust-based relationships with leadership across the company.
Excellent leadership skills, both formal and informal.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to speak fluently to senior executives, product managers, and business leaders.
Strong strategic background; comfort taking a data-driven and analytical approach to identifying gaps and opportunities in this market, as well as measuring results.
History of running quickly with little supervision. Ability to adapt to and lead through fast-paced, high-growth, uncertain environments to deliver results.
Creativity, resourcefulness, detail-orientation, organization.
Infectious passion for and power user of Twitter.
Fluency in French and English
